It was established in 1962-1963 Educational Year as Deaf and Dumb School and Orphanage School In 1983 it was named Adana Deaf and Dumb Primary School.
In 1997 The name was changed into Seyhan Audio-Obstacles Primary Shool.
The Shcool had a preperation class with extra four years more till 1989 as a compulsory education. And between 1988-1997 educational years, we had an optuonal secondary school. We still have had 8 years basic education alltogether.
The Departments of the School
The land of the school is 14.000 square metres. The building is located on 4.000 square metres The first building has 18 classrooms, 1 workshop, 2 computer labs, girls and boys private guarters, a depot for food, a room for nurse, girls and boys dormitories two teachherd lovnges, thre manager roms, three official rooms. It has also a kitchen and a refeetory where 250 students can eat.
The Second building has a manager room, a salon for differnt purposes, a science lab, a library and nine classrooms. We have also a workshop in this building.
The Capacity Of The Students
The school has 228 studens. 190 of them go on their education in the first building, 77 of them are boys the rest of them are girls. 211 stutents stay in dormitory
Some Information about School Staff
The school has a principal and six principal assisstans. We have one Science two Maths, one Turkish, one Art, One Work and Technic, one Guidance, one Social Studies, one Clothing, one P.E., thirteen Hearing-obstacles claas teachers. There are also two officials, one nurse, one driver, one depot official and six cleaners
